I am a multi-award-winning freelance audio producer, writer and filmmaker based in Toronto, Canada.
I've produced radio documentaries, news reports and current affairs segments for CBC Radio (The Doc Project, Out in the Open, Dispatches, The World this Weekend).
My writing has appeared in The Walrus, Chatelaine, Today's Parent, THIS Magazine, Toronto Life, The Grid, Eye Weekly, and The Globe and Mail.
My short films have screened in festivals across North America.
My audio documentaries have won a national RTDNA Adrienne Clarkson Award for Diversity Reporting and been nominated for a Canadian Association of Journalists (CAJ) award. As a feature writer, I've won Gold at the Digital Publishing Awards and have twice been a finalist for National Magazine Awards. I was part of the team that produced the "Past Lives" episode of the CBC radio show Out in the Open that won a 2017 New York Festivals Silver Award in the Information/Documentary: Human Relations category.
I teach multimedia reporting and feature writing/producing at Ryerson University School of Journalism and love to lead audio production, interviewing, podcasting and writing workshops.
